DAMP PROOF MEMBRANES

Damp Proof Membranes (DPMs) are flexible sheets used to prevent the ingress of water and water vapour through the floor slab or basement of a construction into the internal environment.
These sheets also prevent liquid water, under hydrostatic pressure, entering the construction or passing from one section of the construction to another.
DPMs can be also used in solid concrete floors or in basement designs as both vertical and horizontal membranes in either internal or external tanking situations.
Excluded from this product group are bridge deck waterproofing and flexible sheets with the function of stabilising ground and/or allowing preferential drainage paths e.g. geotextiles.
DPMs should be applied in conjunction with damp proof courses (DPCs) in order to provide a continuous waterproof barrier.
Our Damp Proof Systems portfolio offers the specifier the convenience of sourcing a total high performance DPM and DPC package from a single source. The DPM range includes self adhesive and liquid applied options.
For more details on the DPC range please see the relevant product pages on this website.
We also offer a range of gas resistant barrier products which as well as providing damp proofing properties are designed to resist Methane, Radon and Carbon Dioxide. See the relevant product pages on this website for more information.
